Word Frequency Counter
Analyze how often each word appears in your text. Filter stop words, set a minimum word length, and export the full frequency table as CSV — all processed in your browser with no data sent to any server.
How to Use the Word Frequency Counter
Paste any text — a blog post, web page copy, product description, or competitor content — into the input field. The tool instantly computes a ranked frequency table showing each word, its count, and its percentage of all analyzed words.
Options Explained
Ignore Stop Words
Removes common words like 'the', 'and', 'is' so you can focus on meaningful keywords. Enable this for SEO analysis; disable it for pure statistical text analysis.
Min Word Length
Filters out very short words. A minimum of 3 is good for general use; set to 4–5 when you only want longer, more specific keywords.
Show Top N
Limits the results table to the top 10, 20, or 50 words. Choose 'All' to see every unique word — useful when exporting to CSV for full analysis.
Copy as CSV
Exports the current results as CSV with columns: word, count, frequency%. Paste directly into Google Sheets or Excel for further keyword research.

Häufig gestellte Fragen
What is word frequency analysis?
Word frequency analysis counts how many times each word appears in a piece of text. It helps writers and SEO professionals identify the most prominent terms in their content, check for over-optimization, or discover the main topics covered.
What are stop words and should I filter them?
Stop words are common function words like 'the', 'and', 'is', 'in' that carry little meaning on their own. For SEO and keyword research purposes, filtering them out is recommended so you can focus on the meaningful words. Toggle the 'Ignore stop words' option to control this.
How does the frequency percentage work?
The frequency percentage shows what proportion of the analyzed words (after filtering) each word represents. For example, if your target keyword appears 10 times out of 200 total analyzed words, its frequency is 5%. SEO best practice is to keep primary keywords between 1–3%.
Can I export the results?
Yes. Click the 'Copy as CSV' button to copy all results in CSV format (word, count, frequency%). You can paste this directly into Google Sheets, Excel, or any spreadsheet tool for further analysis.
Is my text sent to any server?
No. All analysis happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your text never leaves your device — there are no server requests, no logging, and no data storage.
